SF NEW TECH & MACWORLD/iWORLD PARTNER TO DISCOVER THE BEST NEW APPLE-CENTRIC INNOVATIONS TO SHOWCASE AT MACWORLD/iWORLD 2014

San Francisco, CA — (January 15, 2013) SF New Tech, the Bay Area’s largest, longest-running, and most-loved technology event, is partnering with Macworld/iWorld, the largest event for those who use, create, and love Apple products, to scout out the best new apps, accessories, software and utilities tied to Apple and showcase them at a very special event called “6 About to Breakâ€. The event will take place inside of Macworld/iWorld Expo on March 27, 2014 at the Moscone Convention Center, and will give the six finalists an exclusive opportunity to present and showcase their products with exposure to over 500 media and more than 25,000 attendees.
Unlike most competitions, it’s absolutely free to apply to “6 About to Break†and also free to showcase if chosen. Macworld/iWorld offers an incredible opportunity for developers and innovators to put their product in front of avid Apple fans and garner significant media coverage (Macworld/iWorld generates over 2.4 billion media impressions). “6 About to Break†will be the talk of the event and is bound to make an innovator — or six — famous. Macworld/iWorld 2013 media in attendance included The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Rolling Stone, Mashable, Macworld, CBS, ABC, NBC, Fox, New York Times and more.
The call for submissions for “6 About to Break†officially starts today.
Qualified entries include any newly released software, iOS applications, iPhone or iPad accessories, or Apple utilities within the last year. Simply tell us about your amazing product(s) at https://www.sfnewtech.com/sfntmacworld to be considered.
The deadline for submissions is Monday, March 3, 2014 at 5 pm PST. Winners will be announced on Wednesday, March 12, 2014.
The six winning selections will each be given five minutes for a live demo and then another five minutes for a robust Q&A on stage at Macworld/iWorld on Thursday, March 27, 2014 in front of thousands of conference attendees and hundreds of media. Winners will also be awarded prizes, including but not limited to six Complete Kendo UI and Icenium full product licenses and support from Telerik. Â We will also promote the winners via our media partnership with VentureBeat.
Immediately following the showcase, SF New Tech and Macworld/iWorld will host a special reception to celebrate the winners of the event and raise a glass to all things Apple and innovation. For those applicants not selected, Macworld/iWorld will be offering a special rate to both attend and showcase at the conference.
