A quick showcase of what went down at SF New Tech on March 25th and April 11th, 2009. (You’ll see just about everything but the actual live demos.)
Archives for April 2009
Can you please drop everything you’re doing right now and eyeball this? You’ll be glad you did. Serious.

1) The Next SF New Tech is on May 6th – First 100 Through The Door Get a Free Drink!
Holy moly. Like a freight train of tech, here we go again. On Wednesday, May 6th, come on down to Mighty to see some of the best of the best. Live demos on tap include: Diddit.com, HearPlanet, tmeet.me, Sonar6 and Nileguide. All great — and fun — tech. Special bonus: the first 100 people through the door will get a free cocktail courtesy of Diddit.com! Woot! Event info @ http://56sfnewtech.eventbrite.com
2) A June Double Header.
Come June, we’re going to throw down two great events. On June 10th, none other than Guy Kawasaki will be dropping in to demo Alltop. He told me he’s going to have a hard time keeping it to 5 minutes. Can you help me reel him in? Also on tap on 6/10 are Chartbeat (super-slick tools to monitor the heartbeat of your site) & Blurb (awesome book self-publishing that kicks iPhoto’s ass) and a few others. Then just one week later on 6/17, it’s Widgets Up The Wazoo III! Yep — widgets are back and Sexywidget.com’s Lawrence Coburn is going to moderate the evening. Expect nothing but killer demos, to be announced soon.
3) July Big Summer Geek Out!
You know we love to party, right? The plan is to have a *huge* party in July. Tacos, DJ, and more. If you’d like to sponsor a good ol’ bad-ass Geek Out — let’s talk. This can only work if we can get enough sponsors. (Imagine a turn-key party with your name on it for less than a Sushi dinner for your BOD.) More info coming soon on this one. Stay tuned.
4) Annual Membership Has Arrived!
Yes! Now you don’t have to worry about getting your tickets in time! With an annual membership to SF New Tech you can just show up and join the fun. Just like the Old School, baby. We’ve made it simple to join, and cheap too. Especially, considering how membership is your golden ticket to any of at least 12 events a year. Who knows, we may do "members only" events and serve up other benefits in the future, too. We’re offering membership plans for individuals as well as packages for companies that want to provide easy access for staffers and colleagues and eliminate hassle of those pesky post-event expense reports! Also, it’s no secret that clients and portfolio companies love being entertained at SF New Tech. For more information on our Individual and Corporate membership plans, simply visit https://www.sfnewtech.com/membership
