Looking for Developers & Account Executives
SF New Tech is morphing and growing! And we’re crazy-excited. We’ve got a lot of great things in the works on our mission to help the startup community thrive.
2013 will bring…
A Brand New Site!
We’re calling it SFNT 1.5. We’re moving from WordPress to Drupal so we can better kick things up a notch. Big thanks to our friends at AssureSoft for helping to piece it together.
A New Technology!
We’re building a better way for startups to show off their latest & greatest news and new features.
Which one of these domain names rocks it for you?

Interested in volunteering to hack it together with us? Cool! Please get in touch with your skillz.
A New Way For Startups To Raise Money!
We’ll be enabling crowdfunding to and for the SFNT community — and beyond.  We’re one step closer to the day you’ll be able to fund the demo you’re watching on stage via your phone. Super-exciting!
A New Way To Find Shared Purpose!
At our 1.23 event we’ll be introducing a way to Match-Connect-Transact with other attendees. Those who sign up will gain access to relevant contacts based on shared purpose. You’re looking for them and they’re looking for you… and we’re going to help you make magic.
A New Monthly Happy Hour To Talk Tech Over Cold Drinks!
Join us for our monthly “Belly Up” happy hours at Harlot (46 Minna). The next one is on 1.29, 6-8 pm. It’s free to join the fun. Cash bar (unless we can find a sponsor). RSVP here: http://bellyup29jan.
Office Hours, For Real!
Through our storied history, SF New Tech’s HQ has literally floated around the bay. The SS SFNT has since been decommissioned but we’re still keen on keeping a light anchor.  That said, we’re proud of our new floating desk at WeWork at 156 2nd Street, one of the best collaborative working environments in SF (and NY an LA). If you’re downtown on Wednesdays or Fridays, drop a line!
A New Approach To New Tech In New Cities!
Most startups worth their salt come to SF to make it happen. But a lot of great things are happening in other cities too. We’re intent on drumming up innovators and people who love innovation to come together in other cities in 2013. If you’re reading this from abroad and want us to come to you, drop a line!
Details Details
Needless to say we’ll be rolling out the nitty-gritty details on all these exciting developments as they emerge. We’re going to need a lot of help from the community to pull all this off famously. Thanks in advance for your support and understanding. 🙂
Your donations via our holiday party helped the Hands Together to Defend the Children (HTDC) Orphanage in Haiti rebuild classrooms that were destroyed by tropical storm Isaac in August. Way to go!
Check out the smiles you helped create!
Over the past few years thanks to the awesome organization, European Disaster Volunteers, we’ve done what we can to help provide a safe house for the kids at HTDC.
In addition to supporting these kids, your donations helped to:
* Provide dinner to 500 families in NY & NJ that were dislocated due to super-storm Sandy (via The River Fund Mobile Pantry);
* Provide 1 child in India with quality education for 1 year (via Non Formal Education Centres);
* Provide enough needles and syringes to vaccinate over 625 Somalian children (via Merlin USA).
Of course, big thanks to the Social Media Club and Outlook.com for helping us pull this off.
